Day 3: Impeachment of the Philippine Chief Justice



Day 3 was more "dramatic" than Day 2 which was actually a waste of time thanks to the unprepared prosecution team. Day 3 revealed more than just the SAL-N of the Chief Justice but also some demeanor of the Senator-Judges. One was clearly "lawyering" for the prosecuting team. Another one was "bullying" the witness. I still pity the clerk of court who was actually torn between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. She did bring the SAL-N as ordered by the impeachment court through a subpoena "out of respect" for the court. She was also hesitant to turn it over because as an employee of the Clerk of Court she is also bound by the SC 1989 en banc resolution.
